Welcome to OSKU, the Finnish School of Ottawa. This site will give you information about the school, its purpose, how to get involved, events, the Finnish community in general and more.
OSKU/Children’s Program JK-Grade 8
Finnish classes are offered through the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board and the International Languages Program, as mandated under the Ministry of Education. Communities work in partnership with the school board in order to provide high-quality instruction in non-official languages.
The children enjoy a program that develops their verbal and written language skills in a fun, interactive environment. The program incorporates music, videos, games, field trips and occasional special guests from the Finnish community.
The Finnish classes for children are multilevel classes and meant for all 4 to 14 year-old children regardless the language level or background.
